Overview

Enjoy an unforgettable 11-day adventure across Uganda, known as the “Pearl of Africa.” This trip combines wildlife safaris, beautiful landscapes, cultural experiences, and the rare chance to see both chimpanzees and mountain gorillas in the wild. From the powerful Murchison Falls to the forests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, this safari shows you the best of Uganda.

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where your guide will welcome you and take you to your hotel. If you have time, you can relax or visit the shores of Lake Victoria.

Day 2: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, drive to Murchison Falls National Park. On the way, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track rhinos on foot. Later, visit the top of Murchison Falls and enjoy the amazing views.

Day 3: Game Drive and Nile Boat Cruise

Start the day with a morning game drive where you may see elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and more. In the afternoon, take a boat trip on the Nile River to the base of the falls. You’ll see hippos, crocodiles, and many birds.

Day 4: Drive to Kibale National Park

Travel through the scenic Albertine Rift Valley to Kibale National Park, famous for primates. Enjoy views of hills, tea plantations, and villages along the way.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Walk

Go into Kibale Forest for chimpanzee tracking with a guide. Watch them feed, play, and move through the trees. Later, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for birdwatching and a community visit.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with views of the Rwenzori Mountains. In the evening, enjoy a game drive to spot animals like elephants and lions.

Day 7: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Trip

Take an early morning game drive. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, known for hippos, crocodiles, and birds.

Day 8: Travel to Bwindi via Ishasha

Drive through the Ishasha Sector, where you may see tree-climbing lions. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 9: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi

After a briefing, go on a guided trek to find mountain gorillas. Spend one hour observing them in their natural home. This is a rare and unforgettable experience.

Day 10: Relax at Lake Bunyonyi

Travel to Lake Bunyonyi, one of the most beautiful lakes in Africa. Relax, go canoeing, or visit local communities.

Day 11: Return to Entebbe

Drive back to Entebbe. Stop at the Equator for photos and souvenir shopping. Later, transfer to the airport for your flight home.

Driver Nov 2023 • Family Stuart was a great driver and very friendly. He took us across the Rwandan border to Uganda and back again with both times being enjoyable and a good chance to learn about the local life. Would definitely recommend him!

Relaxing cruise ~ Lake Bunyonyi Aug 2024 • Solo I took a very informative boat cruise on the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi as part of our 17 day safari. We sailed the stunning waters of Lake Bunyonyi passing many of the 29 islands. My guide was Stuart who was very knowledgeable about the area, sharing the stories associated with each island. Stuart has an interest in photography, so he made sure that we stopped so I could take shots of the wildlife and birds.
