2-DAY BWINDI GORILLA TREKKING SAFARI

Our experienced driver guide will pick you up in Kigali and drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will cross over into Uganda via the Katuna border post. The trip continues through Kabale town to Bwindi National Park. The journey from Kigali to Bwindi National Park will take approximately 5 hours. You will arrive at Bwindi National Park in the early afternoon in time to do optional activities such as canoeing at Lake Bunyonyi, visiting the Batwa community. Note: Before driving to Uganda, we can organize a complimentary Kigali city tour (including visiting the Genocide Museum).

You will head to the Bwindi National Park gate immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The national park guide will present what to expect during the gorilla trek. The national guide will assign the gorilla trekking group during the pre-trekking briefing. Other visitors will likely join you. The gorilla trek can take a few or many hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest.

You will be transferred back to Kigali, Rwanda, immediately after the gorilla trekking adventure at Bwindi National Park. Please note that since gorilla trekking can sometimes take more than 5 hours, it is recommended not to book a flight out of Kigali that departs before 10:00 p.m. local time. Note that the Uganda time zone (EAT) is one hour ahead of the Rwanda time zone (CAT).
